We’ve been in a giving mood this Christmas, helping a range of local charities throughout December.
On December 21st, we supported the Thank Our Heroes group in Wivenhoe as they donated 140 free Christmas Hampers to the local heroes. The nominations were awarded to those who went ‘above and beyond’ for the people around them throughout the pandemic.
The Hampers contained Christmas favourites from Pilgrim Foodservice including turkey and the trimmings. Our driver, Scott Clarke, delivered the hampers to Wivenhoe and stayed to help hand them out, together with our account manager Nick Richer.

Also in December, Pilgrim Foodservice’s Managing Director, Charles Bateman and Chairman, Peter Bateman, generously offered all employees our very own turkey butterfly, with the option to donate them to charity. Charities that received turkey donations included Boston Women’s Aid, Moving On Together, ARK Wildlife Park & Exotic Animal Sanctuary and local food banks.
