    Prepared Produce Production Operative

    Hours of Work: 40 hours per week £11.50 to £12.50p/h
    Days of Work: Any 5 days from a possible 6, Sunday to Friday
    Term: Permanent

    Responsibilities will include:

    • Pick products needed for production from the vegetable store. Prepare all types of fresh products required to be machine cut. Ensure all stock taken from the vegetable store is taken off stock by a supervisor.
    • Decant products into the designated trays.
    • Ensure products are bagged to the specific weight, using the correct bag size.
    • Strictly follow documented product processes to ensure product safety and quality
    • Dissemble and assemble production machinery and take them apart for operation and cleaning. Conduct appropriate safety checks for the machine and blades used.
    • Ensure that machines are maintained and cleaned regularly, and knives are handled in a safe and appropriate manner.

    The successful candidate will have:

    • Experience of working in a kitchen would be an advantage together with good knife cutting skills
    • Good knowledge of stock control and record keeping. Your role will be to stock count excess products each day and to stock take all raw materials in the prep store.
    • Attention to detail when completing paperwork for transferring stock and handing over to the supervisor.
    • Demonstrate good health and safety practice when working with machinery.
    • This role will involve heavy lifting (max 20kgs)
